The Las Vegas Raiders and star running back Josh Jacobs reportedly aren’t close on a contract extension as Monday’s deadline for a long-term deal nears.

Players who were assigned the franchise tag back in March have until 4:00 p.m. EST to reach an agreement on a multi-year extension with their teams. Otherwise, they’ll have to play the 2023 campaign under the franchise tag.

According to a report from Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, the Raiders and the 2022 rushing champion aren’t anywhere close on a contract extension.

Bryan DeArdo of CBS Sports put together a list of the best landing spots for Jacobs. Topping DeArdo’s list were the reigning NFC Champion Philadelphia Eagles, followed by the Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins.
